This year we returned once more to the Alfold Charity Model Boat Show. Always a popular show, and well attended by model suppliers as well as clubs.

A show worth adding to any model boaters calendar.

First show on was the Sailing Ships, a few mishaps but still a very popular display and looked impressive.

Second on was the Sit in Battleships, always one to keep the public guessing.

At the end of the battle when the lids open, a chorus of ‘told you so’ can always be heard.

I’m afraid this is the bit I wasn’t looking forward to...

Alan Taylor our Secretary this year picked up, not one, but two prizes, for his model of the submarine from the book Red October.

Of course he doesn’t like to mention it! :)
