On hearing that Traplet Publications and Elmbridge Model Club were taking over the running of the Sandown Show, we decided that we had to be there, even though it was not in our event list. The Organizers aim is to return the show to a better mix of Shops, Manufacturers and above all Modellers. This has to be good news for all our hobbies and we should give them as much support as we can. |

Although short notice we managed to put on a respectable display, in the Marquee we filled five tables and full credit to the members we kept it manned all day. Our Sit-inn Models acted as guard ships at the entrance to the marquee and helped pull poeple towards the static display. Special thanks to 'Roman' John, Robbie and Graham for answering questions on members models while we got the Tank Battle ready. |

As we didn't have time to sort out a pool display we decided to go with the land side of our D-Day display. This involved the operators running their Tanks from marooned Landing Craft along the Mulberry Harbour and into the French Village . |

After battling off some Tiger Tanks and destroying the Church and half the Village the Allied Tanks were victorious. A good crowd showed their appreciation and our day was made.. Sandown Park will certainly be a permanent fixture on our events calendar. |
