The time had come, our last Show of the year and the moment our Club built model of HMS Victory had to take centre stage and work. As this was a two day show for us, we set up a static display at the back of No 7 Boat House which gave easy access to the Mast Pond where our Displays would take place at high tide each day.

Trafalgar Day had been wet and windy, by Saturday the weather had improved and it was our turn to keep the public entertained. As the boats entered the water the crowds just kept growing and we new the pressure was on, the public had come to see a re-enactment of Trafalgar and every thing had to work.

Thank God every Member did his duty, the Display went well and the public left happy.

On Sunday the Static display was visited by Sir Thomas Slade, the Senior Surveyor of the Navy and the designer of HMS Victory, some say it was John doing one of his acting roles, but we like to think that the fumes from all the painting he had done on the model had effected his brain.

The Trafalgar Battle on Sunday again attracted a huge crowd, who after the display joined in with three cheers for the Royal Navy.

This was our last Display for 2005 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those members of the public who came and watched us.

See you next year.
